An indicating test gauge shall be connected directly to the boiler or pressure vessel where it is visible to the operator throughout the duration of the test. The pressure gauge scale shall be graduated over a range of not less than one and one-half times and not greater than four times the maximum test pressure.

Pressure vessels, autoclaves and steam sterilizers operating at pressures greater than 15 pounds per square inch gauge (psig) and larger than five cubic feet (ft3) volume fall within the Washington State Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. As such, they have strict requirements for design, testing and approval.
Aug 23, 2006 · Clause 8.13 of AS1210 (Australian Standard) requires at least one pressure gauge for each vessel fitted with a pressure-relief device. I cannot find this requirement in ASME Section VIII Division 1. I would like to confirm this thing with other members of this forum. Regards, PEHasan.
Nov 06, 2018 · Obviously a gauge is required at the ev valve to establish what pressure is there, pay no attention to the boilers gauge . After the ev is charged, close drain off. Fill system, cold, via filling loop ( again pressures differ from boiler to boiler but 1 bar is typical ) bleed radiators. Re check pressure and test run c/ heating
Heating boiler gauges: this article describes the combination pressure & temperature gauge found on most hydronic (hot water) heating systems. The boiler gauge gives helpful temperature or pressure readings that tell us if the boiler is operating normally. The same pressure and temperature readings at a boiler can help diagnose problems such as TP valve leaks, cold radiators, and even boiler
The Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety program has been in place since Utah was a territory, but the first major milestone occurred on July 1, 1967, when the Utah Legislature enacted the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Act and authorized the Industrial
